Me
I've always enjoyed writing. Friends and family tell me they look forward to my writing on social media, but it feels like my posts get lost in the shuffle as far as keeping track of them. At this point, it seems like it would be nicer to keep my more involved writing in a blog, so here I am.
I am a former teacher who now runs a small business in West Virginia, USA. My views are filtered through logic, liberalism, capitalism, and creativity. The dissonances and consonances that arise from that are what have afforded me a vast cadre of friends and acquaintances. Often, a person will assume that (because of a limited knowledge of one aspect of my life or another)they know what my stance will be on a topic, but the connections my brain has made actually lead us both somewhere unexpected. It's fun - for me, anyway.
I've lived in four states in the eastern and western ends of America and I've visited seventeen countries. My favorite things to do include hiking, knitting fussy lace, writing, container gardening, singing, and a few other geeky hobbies and crafts that I'm sure will be revealed here.
Now for a public pledge to myself: I promise to give this a go by writing one post a week for a year.
